S.T.E.P.S., Inc. is a leader in adventure challenge programming and course design and installation.  In addition to ropes challenge course construction and canopy tour design and installation, S.T.E.P.S. provides climbing and adventure equipment, fall protection, work and rescue gear, and ropes course construction hardware.

S.T.E.P.S. approached AdventureSmith to re-design their site using the Joomla CMS.  In addition to showcasing new services, S.T.E.P.S. express interest in an e-commerce solution.  AddventureSmith designed a custom template for the open-source e-commerce solution, osCommerce , and developed back end scripts to maximize search engine optimization and functionality of the site.  In addition to front end usability, more than 30 extensions were added including reporting, inventory control, credit card processing, shipping, affiliate programs, sales control, and news reporting.
